tool tips for 1.7
tool tips for 1.7
Hi Ivo, eveyone
Could we have the help (?) tips activated, e.g. in 'shrink' for the next RC? I'm still in trial-and-error mode for many of them!
Cheers, clear skies and stay safe,
Steve

Yes. In some modules the ? buttons do nothing.

Re: tool tips for 1.7
I have found this too, in particular in the Shrink module none of the '?' buttons respond.

Re: tool tips for 1.7
Bug confirmed in Shrink. However it seems you are alluding to more modules than Shrink exhibiting this bug too? Or is it just Shrink?

Hi Ivo
Yes, there are other modules. Not by a computer ATM. Sorry.

Re: tool tips for 1.7
I just released an update with the Shrink module help. I looked for any other modules missing help, but couldn't find any missing. Do let me know if you find anything.

I now finally understand the menacingly titled, 'un-glow'!

Re: tool tips for 1.7
A menace to unsightly halo signal to be sure.
It's a cool feature which made me do a double take when I first tested it. It can be so effective that it sometimes looks like it's manipulating surrounding nebulosity pixels. It's not; it's the relative contrast caused by the subtle halo signal being removed that causes nebulosity to "pop". Human vision's "bugs" and exploits are so fascinating...

Re: tool tips for 1.7
Indeed. If you haven't yet done so, this module alone is worth allowing one's trial of PI to expire;)unsightly halo signal
I've always hated stars from refractors in front of gas/dust which 'push aside' the nebulosity surrounding them and looking like they've punched a hole in the nebula. Truly awful.
I can now un-glow them; resentment cured. In fact, I think it ought to be made into an official verb.
Cheers and clear skies,
Steve
