Hi, I will be using an OSC ccd and capturing my data in raw via SGPro. I will then stack etc is DSS. Should I bring the data into startools and then convert it to colour?
I'm just learning so not quite sure when this step should be done. I also remember reading that best results are achieved in startools if no processing has been done elsewhere?
Gordon
Ivo, are you involved in APT software?
Raw files
Re: Raw files
Hi Gordon,
Use DSS to debayer (convert to color) your raw data during stacking. Afterwards import the stacked colour data into StarTools.Gedan wrote:Hi, I will be using an OSC ccd and capturing my data in raw via SGPro. I will then stack etc is DSS. Yes, that is quite right. Import your data straight from the stacker. StarTools' 'Tracking' feature will (amongst other things) be able to 'track' exactly how noise evolves in your image, so that it can attack it the most effective when you switch 'Tracking' off.I also remember reading that best results are achieved in startools if no processing has been done elsewhere?
No, I'm not - that is a different Ivo. Funny, as the name isn't that common.Ivo, are you involved in APT software?
