Heal tool not working

Hi
I'm having issues trying to get the heal tool to remove all my stars.
It seems to remove faint stars, but not the larger ones, even when a mask is applied to these stars
Here's my mask - image 2

Any comment or advice is Welcome

Parameter [Quality] set to [Medium]
Parameter [New Darker Than Old] set to [Yes]
Parameter [Grow Mask] set to [3 pixels]
Parameter [Neighbourhood Samples] set to [0]
Parameter [New Must Be Darker Than] set to [Off]
Parameter [Neighbourhood Area] set to [200 pixels]

Hi,

Judging by the image with the mask (thank you for uploading!) the Heal module works as expected. If you wish to remove the bigger stars, you will need to include their halos as well, otherwise the halo pixels that are not masked will be used to reconstruct the cores; it is not enough to just select the cores in the mask.

You can use the Grow button or the Grow Brush Mode to accomplish a larger coverage of the mask.
