NGC 7640

Post by Cheman »

Here's a galaxy I haven't seen imaged much.
NGC 7640 is a little-visited gem that lies just a bit to the southwest of the popular "Blue Snowball" planetary nebula. It is classified as a barred spiral and appears to have undergone an interaction of some sort. It lies at a distance of 19 million light-years from Earth. NGC 7640 has a diameter of approximately 59,000 light-years.

Lovely as always, though I can see some hints of dust specks/donuts?
