HDR Composition

Post by torsinadoc »

I am processing an HaRGB (M42)

I have several exposures of each Ha (60,300,600,900) and R,G,R (30,60,300). All were integrated in PI

I can load the individual RGB 300 sand process but how do I add the other exposures 30,60? Same with Ha. Should I combine each exposure in PI prior to startools (have master RGB of 30 and 60 and 300)?

Hi,

Though it's getting a little bit long in the tooth, you may find this video helpful.
In essence, just process the images separately to the best of your ability and as the data allows.
Then, use the Layer module's "Min Distance to 1/2 Unity" (fast) or "Max Contrast" (slower) filters to create a seamless HDR combination from two images. You can repeat this procedure if you have more than 2 image to combine.

Do let me know if this helps,
