Here is a link to an image of M27 shot two weeks ago. Please forgive the poor centering as I prioritized centering a guide star without rechecking the main image.
C11 HD Edge @f10
CGEM
Canon 6D; 10 x 180s @iso 1600 (only 10 subs before the mount hit the RA limit)
Captured in BYEOS; Guided in PHD2 with Taurus Tracker III OAG
10 lights; 11 darks; 16 flats
Stacked in DSS
I am stumbling through StarTools getting very noisy results with poor color values (among other things)
Will someone please take a look at the .fts file linked here? Thank you!
Very frustrated, Michael

Re: I Need Help
Here's what I came up with using a very basic processing.

Re: I Need Help
I cannot begin to thank you for the time and effort you put in. I will reprocess the original .fts file using your "formula" so I can get used to a workflow. Of course, details will change with different images. BTW, is there a way of downloading your result? Thanks once again.
Michael
ps. I just reprocessed the .fts file according to your workflow and behold a miracle! Thank you for the breakthrough I needed. Your workflow is excellent.

Re: I Need Help
Hi Michael
Glad it was helpful to you. This was a very basic workflow with default settings. As you get more familiar with StarTools, you will see that it is very powerful, and at the same time very friendly to use. This is just a starting point! With different images, you might find different modules like the Deconvolution, HDR, repair, Magic etc, can help the image a lot. There is a lot to learn to be able to use StarTools to its full potential. It is a program that you can grow into as you see what different settings can do. Lots of helpfull people here to answer questions and Ivo's support is beyond compare

Re: I Need Help
I really needed a workable sequence rather than stumbling at random. Once again, you have my gratitude.
