UNUSUAL IMAGES
Hi guys!!!
I've many troubles with processing images.....of course!!!
I load my FIT image file (after processed with DSS)....I do bin 70%, Autodev, Crop; and Wipe.
Right here, when the Wipe is finished......before any kind of maske.....the result image is this:
I don't know what I'm doing bad.....or the reason of this trouble!!
Can anyone help me??
Thanks a lot.

Re: UNUSUAL IMAGES
When I see weird things like that, the first thing I do is make sure I've cropped out ALL the stacking artifacts around the borders. If that doesn't do the trick, then I bump up the Dark Anomally filter setting in the Wipe module. Default is 1, increase it and see if there is any difference. If it gets a little better, keep increasing until the strange stuff is gone.

Hmmm... I've seen this 'effect' before on 32-bit versions of the application. As 'Che' suggested, does the 'Dark anomaly filter' help? Does this happen in the latest (1.4.303) alpha version?

Hi all.....
'Dark anomaly filter' doesn't help!!!!
All the previous DSS processing haa been done carefully, with all the right processing advisers.......
I put the FITS 32 bits file into ST......I?ve done bin, autodev, crop, autodev........
And the result of this process is on the attached photo:

I'm running ST 1.4.303
I'm going mad...
Thanks all!

Dani
Could you put your stacked image in Dropbox or google drive and post a link. I'd like to take a look.
Che
PS. Dont know if it matters in this case, but I ALWAYS use the temp autodev in wipe, so I can better see what it has done. Being TEMP, it discards the stretch when saving the wipe. I noticed that you had this set to NO in this screenshot.

Dani
did you use calibration frames when stacking.....darks, flats etc. Please, if you can, include capture and calibration details, it might help in troubleshooting.

Re: UNUSUAL IMAGES
Hi Dani
Have these files been processed, other than just stacking, in DSS. When I open them, I already get what appears to be a stretched image, ie, I dont need to Develop or Auto Dev to see the image.
