Orion's Sword

Post by e.ventura »

Hi,

This is my first deep sky photo and I'm really pleased with it considering all I had was a DSLR and a telephoto lens.

Full card: http://www.astrobin.com/147818/
Just Pic: http://www.astrobin.com/full/147818/0/

I've already spotted a few mistakes, namely the difference between the background near the nebulae and the overall dark background. That was due to a sloppy mask during Life/Isolate.

If you guys could point out some other problems or what not, that'd be great. Love to learn... ;)

Stacked with 63 lights (1.3s), 30 darks, 5 flats and 30 bias.

As I said elsewhere, that is extremely impressive for mere 1.3s frames!
