Hi Stephen,

Thanks for uploading the CR2 file.
I put it through dcraw (which is what DSS uses internally) with the corrrect settings and got something distinctly different (and correct!) from the FTS that you posted.
What you'd be looking for is an image that is almost completely dark, except for some small specks for the brightest of stars;

Stretching with AutoDev then yielded a green bias (to be expected). Wiping revealed some pretty severe issues with dust donuts and uneven field illumination. Use flats to correct these (they're a must for any serious AP attempts!). If you're not dithering, dithering will also greatly help.

I don't know what's going wrong in your workflow, but your RAW files seem fine to me! (and produce nowhere near the strange result in the FTS file you posted).
