Re-processing te Cignus Loop

Post by akeru »

Hi everyone!

This is my re-processing of Cignus Loop

Before (Pixinsight LE, Photoshop):

After (Startools):

There are a few challenges in the proccesing of this image. The plate is plenty of stars. Deconvolution is a very hard task because there are a lot of stars up in the nebula. I tried to generate the starmask with the purple (blue and red) option but in all the cases I need to select the stars one to one. Very hard! (Just the stars up in the nebula, of course when I want to appy deconvolution) Could you tell me any trick for the next time?
Isolate works very fine just in your videotutorial.

Regards,
Roberto.

Another big difference!
I'd like to understand what exactly the problem is with the star mask. Did the Decon preset help at all? Not all stars need to be deselected for decon, just the ones that have a singularity at their core (e.g. the ones that have been overexposed).
