The Double Cluster

Post by Stefan B »

Here's an unusual target for me, the two open clusters NGC 869 and NGC 884. They were actually my parking target until NGC 1333 was high enough. The data on NGC 1333 unfortunately didn't turn out well and I'll have to collect some more data next month if weather allows. But the double cluster is okay. And I guess adding more data to the existing 4 hrs won't add much value, so here it is:

I had thesame experience. I took it when i just had some time to spare...just for the fun, not much integration time but it just came out well and just like you i don't think adding more data with yield to much better results. It is good as it is.
Great shot

Yes, from time to time it's nice to not constantly scratch your head while processing the data :D
