Confirm before closing

Post by StefanT »

Hi Ivo,

sometimes I accidentally click the close-button and StarTools does as told.. and I lose some work  . I'd like StarTools to prompt whether I really want to close (at least if the current work hasn't been saved).

Thank you for the good work

This request has come up a few times.
Personally, I think it's bad UI design to second guess user gestures like 'close application', so what I'll be doing in 1.4 is make the state persistent. I.e. when you close StarTools it will save its state, and when you open it up again it will be as if you never closed it. This way you get what you want and people that really wanted to close the application (the more likely use case) don't get bothered with a pop-up. Sounds good? :)
