Very nice and fine detail. Indeed the color..i have thesame issue. Still youre color is better then mine. It is a great shot.
I struggle a bit with color in Startools, in almost all cases i tune this in GIMP. But not always like desired...

A Google image search throws up myriad colour palettes so I don't think there's any right and wrong, especially with the recent introduction of narrow band filters. Hubble has a lot to answer for!

No, strictly seen you are right , there is no right or wrong, since we don't really know what is up there. Guess it boiles down to what we like or not like. It is the magenta look in the Ha section that still bothers me the most, i can't get to get more red like in your picture .

Yes, i tried HOO, which is something i mostly do.I think it makes not much sense to try anything with SHO since i don't capture SII with the L-enhance. I guess best choice is HOO , bicolor...imho.
If there are more options, sure i would want to hear. I don't know yet much about those combinations, i have to admit.

From where did you load the colour channels? Our UHC filter is very similar to your l-enhance. For this example we split the rgb channels into separate files whilst still in Siril, our preferred calibration and stacking app.
With the predominant magenta, could it be you mixed up the channels?

But what Freddy wants to do is (I think), to get Luminance signal from his narrowband stack (as the name says: L-enhance) and colour information from his RGB stack. And this is where my knowlege ends, but there are lot of posts here about this ...

AFAIK that's not neccessary; to create HOO / bicolour images you can easily load the FITS file three times into the Compose-Module RGB channels and set mode to [L + Synthetic L From RGB, RGB]. This is described here:

The link you provide to Ivo's posts strikes me as correct, you want to select one of the "...(GB)(GB)" choices, whichever is appropriate to the situation.
Freddy still should be able to do this however with his (registered) mono and RGB stacks, sticking the mono file into L, and then the same file into R, G, and B. A 2xG option for OSC will bump the green channel slightly in creation of the L + Synth L (though I am unsure of how that effects the general 1/2, 1/6 each weighting, if one cares about that). The duplicate GB's prevent color balancing from going sideways.
