Ivo, Thank you for implementing the circle and drag function. I use it to remove and fix Oxygen III filter halos!
Halos like in this image...
Thank you so much!
Richard
______________________________
workflow
1- identify the offending halo star
2- make a circle of the entire star and halo (fig 2)
3- make a smaller circle within the green circle for the white part of the star. The mask will be erased over the star
4- Open the color module, select keep mask, tune down the blue and possibly red until you have a good mix of background color.
5- Bright sat should be down to 0 and dark sat up to 50 or more...
6- save your work

Richard, that is a really nice image! May I ask what scope/camera/filters you used and process in ST to achieve the beautiful color and detail?

I would have sworn I was looking at your Tulip nebula when you posted this but now its gone and replaced with the Elephant's Trunk; did I miss something?

That's a great use and example on that image, thanks for sharing.
I just used the new mask and removed the star centre and used Heal as the star field was quite dense around the problem star and that worked great (new darker than old off). I can see me using this new mask when dealing with CA I have with my lenses.
Ivo that is a super new tool in Mask, thank you.
