Hi ivo
I'm using Windows64, StarTools 1.4.352 and have the following error message,
'Could not create Tracking data. Please make sure StarTools has read/write in /tmp/ on MacOSX and Linux.' It is a Windows machine I'm using.
The error does not occur with any specific module but can appear at any stage. I've checked to see if there have been any other differences in installing/downloading the software but can't find anything that would suggest this should happen.
Regards
Phil
Could not create Tracking data
Re: Could not create Tracking data
Hmmm.... Can you confirm you have at least a few GBs of free space available in the folder you have launched StarTools from?LookinUp wrote:Hi ivo

I am getting the same error message and I am only using a Windows machine. Any updates on this thread?

The issue typically stems from the application not being able to write to the folder it was launched from.
If the application throws this error immediately when Tracking is switched on, then it is likely a permissions problem;
- The folder has no or incorrect write permissions set;
- or something (like a Virus Scanner) is preventing the application from writing.
Can you confirm you have sufficient disk space, that the application folder has read/write permissions (is the StarTools.log being written successfully for example?) and that no virus scanners are interfering with the program?
Thank you!
