Hmmmm... sounds like a regression of a bug fixed some versions ago.
Thank you for reporting this.

Yep... Still happening on StarTools_1_4_352_beta too. I just desaturated atm in layering module to fix.

I just tried reproducing this with the steps that would successfully replicate the previous glitch.
This time, I'm not having much luck. Would you be able to recover the steps you took from the StarTools.log for me?
I'll keep trying in the meantime.
Thank you!

Ivo, I particularly see colour when brightness detail is increased. I also got colour artefacts in the middle of some medium sized stars. Going to check that the deconv mask was covering them but still why would colour appear on a mono file?
The source data is .fits files from Kstars/EKOS.

Thank you very much for this. I've been able to replicate this now. Now to figure out which step introduces the color...
StarTools does a fair bit of color space conversion, depending on a module's needs. This
shouldn't impact a mono image, but is seems it does in this instance.
Let me investigate this and report back to you.

Found the problem! (dumb and embarrassing copy & paste bug
)
It will be fixed in the next release. Thanks again for reporting this and for your patience!
