1.8.527MR2 both versions W10
Completed a process and selected Save, the save as dialog displayed and it did not matter what I tired I received a 'check the file name' 'file not saved check the name and try again'
Everything else worked great through the process.

I'm unable to replicate this on two fully up-to-date Win 10 machines.
Perhaps the biggest clue is that the mesages ('check the file name' or 'file not saved check the name and try again') are not coming from StarTools...

Have you got some sort of anti-virus program or file dialog plug-in installed?
