Still confused while opening files

Hi all,
This is a (I think) quick question. I'm still quite confused how to open a fits file within startools: "Linear", "Linear, from OSC/DSLR with Bayer matrix and not white balanced", and "Non-linear sRGB source".
My first thought was to choose the second option. My fits file are raw files (DSLR) stacked with DSS with all white balance checkboxes unselected. But despite of that, I've read several times that DSS effectively applies some kind of white balance, so the preferred option is the first one; but I'm still confused and not sure which options is the best.
Thanks in advance.
