1.7.422 Wipe issue

I found previously that as subtle Wipe (Brightness only) seemed extremely preferable when using strong narrowband filters on a OSC. Wiping the color seemed to mess things up, but in 1.7.422 it doesn't seem to go very well with the lack of a setting to leave the color alone. Is there a new way to do this, or a better way that is recommended for processing these kinds of images?

The Color option was redundant, as luminance and chrominance are - as of 1.5 - processed separately.
Would you be able to be more specific about how Wipe seems to "mess things up" for you? That sounds rather strange, particularly since luminance is made up of the same data that your chrominance is - e.g. if a bias/graidnet is present in one, then it should be present in the other and both would require treatment.
Of course, narrowband typically suffers less from gradients (for obvious reasons) but bias removal - at a minimum - would still be a necessity (hence the Narrowband preset).
It is highly preferable to process narrowband acquired with a DSLR or OSC, using the Compose module (you will notice new modes for bi/tri/quadbands), or - at the very least - using the second option when using the "open" button.
Any further information/examples you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
