reveal all

Sorry for a repeat question but I can't find your answer in my searches.....

What is actually happening when I select "reveal all" in the HDR module? I can see the result and evaluate whether I like it or not but don't know how to explain it during my upcoming presentation (to my local astronomy group). Thanks!

Reveal All is similar to Reveal DSO, except that it also works on the shadows, in addition to the highlights. E.g. it can brighten dark things as well, in addition to darkening bright things.

Does that make sense?
