Hi all,

Well, I'm impressed with StarTools, in the sense that it might possible have the best simplicity of use/results ratio of all.

I manage to process my fist image in 20 minutes after my first contact with StarTools (yesterday morning), I was
searching the web for a easiest way to remove stars from an astro image (been using PI for that) and found a link
to StarTool on the PI forum .. go figure

I got this result yesterday, this a print-screen because I did it even prior to purchasing the licence (my licence arrived
promptly today to my paypal email admin at bunker pt , thanks Ivo Jager)

So, this is the original image (capture and stacked using Maxim DL):

And this is the final result after 20 minutes first contact with StarTools (starless M42 that was my goal):

Artifacts ? Clipping ? I never got this result using PS or PI ... and I have been using them for a long, long time.

That's just amazing! Even more so after just 20 minutes of working with the software.

There are a lot of merits to showing starless renditions - it can really bring large-scale features to the viewer's attention that would otherwise be easy to overlook.
