Hi, new to StarTools here and would like to try the version mentioned above. I am otherwise unable to load StarTools with the Stable or Beta versions linked to on homepage. I am running BigSur on a MBP 16" Mid 2015
macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
G'day
Are you following the guidance for macOS on the Downloads page? Specifically the need to 'unquarantine' the .app file.
What is the issue that you've experienced?
I'd recommend the beta version - it contains a lot of enhancements over the stable 1.6 version.

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Ok, so here's where I immediately make a fool of myself and say that I must've done something out of order. Can now confirm operational on Big Sur MBP 16" Retina Mid 2015 going in the following order:
- Decompress
- Move entire distro folder to ~/Applications
- Run terminal script, modifying only the path to the application file
- Launch
Looking forward to it. Thank you.

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Brilliant!
Yep, a bit convoluted but that's the go.
My early experience is that ST1.7beta on my MBP13" 2020 is WAY faster than my Windows 10 desktop (i5-3570K).
A stupid comparison really, as the desktop is yonks old, but hey, why not?
ST has a bit of a learning curve, but the power is in the subtleties and I'm enjoying the whole processing workflow in one package.

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Likewise. I appreciate the signal processing guts of process. It fits perfectly with the rest of my interests.
