Custom WB

Do I need to bother setting a custom wb on my dslr or does startools sort the white balance during processing

When taking raw files no WB is applied.
WB is used for the jpeg that is viewed on the back of the camera (even if a raw taken) or saved if jpeg format is taken.
Canon cameras as far as I know.
