ngc2264 Xmas Tree Nebula

Post by ChrisLX200 »

Two versions here, first is the Ha channel (mono) which is 10 x 20min subs, and the second a bi-colour offering consisting of Ha+SII rendered as a pseudo-RGB palette. Both versions were processed in StarTools v.1.4 with some final tweaks in Photoshop. StarTools' noise reduction is as always excellent (even better in the new version  )
Will have to wait until after the Moon has gone now for the OIII channel. Scope was a Televue NP127is + 0.8x reducer, CCD camera an Atik 490EX @ 1x1 binning, mount was a Losmandy G11 guided with a Pronto+Lodestar.
