Sh2-82 and reducing stars

As there have been a few posts on reducing star size, I'd though I'd chime in. I frequently use the 'shrink' and 'tighten' functions, which can work quite well. However, brighter bloated stars are problem so I either layer/blend in a L image made from a HaRGB sequence. I also sometimes use the green channel as L, especially for my Canon lens which has quite a bit of CA bloat in the blue channel (I make a synthetic L from RGB). The original L subs for this image were 400s exposures at f/5 with a C11 so the brighter stars had quite a bit of bloat.

That looks really good - wonderful colors too!
Yes, start bloat is a tricky one if star cores are overexposed/non-recoverable. Seems like your method is working for you though!
