M17 Swan ( Omega ) Nebula in OSC Narrowband Bi Color

Capture M17 on a moon lit night using an Optolong L Extreme filter with my ZWOASI2600MC cooled OSC
Scope 8” f5 GSO newt
Skywatcher EQ6-R pro mount
ZWOASI2600 set in Ascom to highest dynamic range Gain 0 cooled to -10C
60 x 3 minute subs
Tracking and Goto EQMOD and Ascom Stellarium
Captured with APT
PHD2 Multistar guiding
Stacked in DSS
Processed in Startools V1.7 Compose
OSC Bi Color
In Color module used some SHO presets in the Matrix to produce some Bi Color images
Really enjoying OSC narrowband processing in Startools ( thanks to Ivo
)

My 8” GSO newt with 1000mm focal length only cost me $540 Aus, a 150mm triple APO refractor at 1050mm focal length would have cost me $7,500 Aus
Big difference in cost but similar FOV
The 8” GSO has acceptable optics , not premium but good enough with f5 ( f4 newts or faster are not that forgiving with Collimation , I stayed at f5 )
What scope are you using at the moment ?

I forget to mention my ZWOASI2600MC cooled OSC camera has an APS C sized sensor 23.5mm x 15.7mm hence coupled with my scopes 1000mm focal length gives you that ideal FOV for most objects in the night sky ( at least here in the Southern Hemisphere)

Currently using a SW Evostar 100ED doublet. 900mm (or 720mm reduced) and a D5300 so also APS-C. Pretty close to your focal length and FOV, but not nearly the aperture and speed, since I'm at f/9.
With my mount being the HEQ5, not the 6, I'd have to watch my weight or really get things balanced perfectly, but I do sometimes look longingly at things like RC6's, RC8's, or even Maks. I haven't looked too much at the imaging Newts, though I probably should.

Maks are more suited for Planetary imaging IMHO
Give me a good ol newt over an RC6 or RC8
I also have a 6” f6 GSO newt which is a great scope , I’ve fitted a dual speed crayford focuser and replaced all the original Collimation springs and screws with heavy duty type
It’s a real all round performer DSO and planetary
Next year I’m taking the plunge and going for a 10” f5 imaging newt , probably carbon fibre
