Parent of Many Dwarfs: NGC 2997
This image is part of my on-going project to image and publish peculiar galaxies in the Southern Hemisphere. NGC 2997 is an eye-catching grand design spiral galaxy. It is included in the Catalog of Southern Peculiar Galaxies and Associations, by Halton Arp and Barry Madore under category 8: Parent to Many Dwarfs.
