Bug in Wipe Module? - Red Image and Black area
I'm getting bizarre behavior from the wipe module trying to process my rosette nebula taken with my new camera. After I crop and use wipe I get a completely red image with a black area in the lower left. Link to fits file below:

While Photoshop reveals a little bit of gradient it does in fact process the image pretty well.

Any ideas?

After some messing around I managed to figure out it has something to do with the Dark Anomly filter. I changed it to 4, and then added more frames tonight, and this is what I get:

Hmmm....
I'm getting some incredibly uneven illumination on both T2 and T5. I have whole chunks of the Rosette missing and am seeing some really funky cloudy gradient/light pollution remnants. I've never seen anything quite like it.
How does the stack look without calibration frames? Are your flats right?

Exactly the same but with more viginetting. I e-mailed the camera manufacturer after I had even more bizarre results on my first light image of M78 (see below). They looked at the flats and said they looked fine.admin wrote:Hmmm....

They told me it was dew or high clouds but for this image I even used a blow dryer and examined the entire assembly every 3 frames or so for any sign of dew. The skies were perfectly clear. This is a brand new camera so it is pretty disappointing.

Might be an idea to shoot some daytime images with it to see if the camera is ok? (you can create a pin hole lens if you need to)

Well I tried a pinhole camera tonight and the image looked fine. Any other ideas?

Any chance you could upload the result?
Let's not forget the issue is only visible in the face of some pretty severe skyglow/light pollution, e.g. it's a very faint signal that produces this, once light pollution has been subtracted.

I took an image of the whale galaxy tonight and I got some pretty patchy results again I shot new flats and I have been dithering in nebulosity.

Also here is my pinhole image.

Sadly I feel like my old (and much cheaper Atik 420) was shooting better images. They may have been noisy but they weren't cloudy.
