M13 Globular Cluster Colorful Bullseye Effect

Here is an exaggerated example of an effect that I encounter during processing globular clusters.
And for a more tasteful rendition with some hand editing of the center bullseye...
Same set of Data. 42@80"@ iso 200. Canon XSi unmodded. 6" F5 Newt w beral coatings. Paracorr. Stacked linear in DSS. ST1.3.5.271 Masked stars used for sample for color module.
So data a little burned out in the center? Dynamic range issue? Reality?...
