Re: Ability to use denoise out side of Track in 1.7

I also miss the separate "denoise" module. The ability to mask specific areas of the image and apply denoise to that part is something I used often. Maybe you folks can bring that ability back. I am finding myself loading V1.6 to use the denoise module, saving that image, then going back to V1.7 to ...

LIFE module replacement?

Is their a module in ST7 that replaces the LIFE module or, basically does the same thing? The LIFE module was a great feature that I used in previous versions all the time. The "Less is More" option I used for every image.

Thanks for any help on this.

Re: Help removing heavy artifacts...

Sorry for the long delay. The artifacts were first seen after the first auto-dev. So, could you post the actual process that you speak about to mask out the artifacts, and then the attempt to erase or reduce these artifacts?

Thanks again for your help!

Re: Help removing heavy artifacts...

Hi. As stated in the OP, the artifacts are from poor framing. I have actually been able to get some good results in PP using Dodge/Burn and brightness tools to combat this. Thanks for your reply!

I have tried to remove it in post production but I am not happy with the result Does anybody have a "fix" for removing this in...

Thanks for the enthusiasm folks! If users here feel that their workflow on any subject would benefit others, then please share. New video tutorials?

Hey admins,...how about some new video tutorials for us newbies. Perhaps on some DSO's or other objects that are in the current skies
in north and south skies this time of year. Maybe at least a couple of new targets every month?? The 6 videos on youtube are a bit dated. Thanks!!!

Re: Output resolution

Hi, You can change the encoded preferred DPI of an image easily using numerous programs (The GIMP, Photoshop, etc.). StarTools exports - where it can - DPI-less or default/minimal encodings. Changing DPI obviously won't magically change the resolution or create more detail though - it will just inf...
