Re: DSS 4.1.1 - can white balance be disabled completely?
I always found this white balance thing a little "too low level" for my laziness, so I've always followed carefully author suggestions without asking too many questions Still, I have one curiosity: how does startools takes into account the information passed at the beginning? I'm talking about these...

Flying bat nebula
Hi friends of startools! this is a very faint subject, it consists of approximately 10 hours integration time in RGB and 10 in HA, HA integration time should be greater but I had to invest 10 hours in RGB just to have a little signal to extract the color! http://astrob.in/362057/rawthumb/gallery/get...

Light pollution, there, was quite low with respect the place where I live and there was the ...

M27 - Fast newtonian is back!
Fast newtonian has this "bad name" for the difficulty of collimating them ... completely true! but at last we succeeded in having good star shapes and we started to using it again! First result: http://astrob.in/358005/rawthumb/gallery/get.jpg [/url] Dumbbell nebula is quite easy to image, it is bri...

no clouds, at last! Deneb and surroundings, Tulip Nebula
After months of cloudy nights, July gave us clear nights and I took this opportunity seriously! 4 projects, this month, Deneb and surrondings wide field (done), Tulip nebula (done), M27 (WIP) and Flying Bat Nebula (darn, this is so weak!) First two results: stacked with DSS, post processing entirely...
