Integration of different sized files to create a Photo

I was wondering if you (Ivo) have plans for eventually including a module that could combine different sized files. The reason I ask is that many of us use different cameras, and as a consequence, the data files are different sizes. It would be nice to be able to glean the best files from different ...

Re: Halo Around Large Stars

Happy-Kat, I finally found a tutorial by Guy on the Forum. It helped a lot. I need to practise a lot with all the tutorials I downloaded, but right now, what I have tried has helped a lot. Thanks for the help

Re: Star Tools License Problems Again

Happy-Kat, Seems my license file was corrupted somehow. I contacted Ivo, and tried to fix the problem. Eventually he sent me a new copy, and everything is working fine now. Thanks for the help

Re: Halo Around Large Stars

Happy-Kat, It's you gain. Thanks for answering. I do not know if there were halos, as I could not see much of anything through all the green after I Dev'd it. I guess I never see this until I run my data through the colour portion of the program. Then it is quite obvious, usually having the big star...

Re: Star Tools License Problems Again

Hi Happy-Kat, I think my problem is that the folder sees it as a text file. I renamed it License.dat, as you say you have it, and placed it as you said you do. But it still comes up as an evaluation program. It does not see my license file.

Star Tools License Problems Again

I have this version 1.3.5.289 on my Windows 8 computer, but I wanted to transfer it to my Windows 10 computer. I copied the files to my desktop astronomy programs file folder. The license is not in the Star Tools file folder. The license is named Star Tools License, and shows as a text file when I o...

Halo Around Large Stars

I was wondering just how you get rid of the halo around the larger stars. A fat star might be only half of the total diameter, with the other half being the halo. I've tried shrinking stars, but it seems to ruin things. I get the feeling I am doing something wrong. CaleyAnn

Re: Newbie to LRGB and Hubble Pallette Photography

Guy, Yes, I have things set for "Standard Mode". I stacked each data set seperately. In other words, Green, Red, Blue and Lum were stacked by themselves, and not lumped together The problem was that I had my camera rotate about 30 degrees from the time I took the Lum data, and when I finished the re...

Re: Newbie to LRGB and Hubble Pallette Photography

Notty, Good luck with your photographic endeavours. I've looked at photos taken with the ASI 1600MM camera, and am awed by the quality it provides. I took a set on one object, but it seems my camera rotated between the sessions, causing the size of the photos to not be compatible. I tried cropping, ...

Re: Newbie to LRGB and Hubble Pallette Photography

I used Star Tools to do my preprocessing. I uploaded my RGB, and discovered that my camera had rotated about 10 degrees. This apparently created an over sized image. My "L" frame was fine, which was the first thing I took in the data accumulation. I figured I might be able to rotate and crop all of ...
