I consulted the unofficial user guide about Auto Dev. and it left me with a question, How much of the image do I highlight as if I'm cropping, I normally click on the upper left hand corner and drag down and to the right until the entire image is highlighted. Then I move my slider (ROI) over to 50%...

The longer you expose then yes, more background noise will accumulate - however, if the target is actually brighter than the background then the signal will always accumulate faster than background noise. I wanted to ask if there is a possibility that I'm over doing my images for the equipment I have, Canon T2i, celestron c6a. Bias and flats you need, but darks are a bit of a waste of time with DSLRs because the camera is not temperature controlled and so it's very difficult to obtain a valid master dark (the camera will heat up significantly during exposures unless you get rid of the battery and use an external power su...

Glenn, You've done a good job with the data at hand. There are a number of issues with the data, with the major problem being the severe vignetting and very uneven illumination. You need to take flats - they are not optional! Another issue is that the data seems to have been meddled with beforehand...

Chris, here is the result I got
