Re: Amp glow with Canon 1000D and virtual mirror

I use "amp glow" option in wipe module selecting the area with lasso and creating a mask first. I try with the default values in the first attempt with bad results, and if I try to reduce agressiveness the process goes for a very very long time....

Amp glow with Canon 1000D and virtual mirror

Hi all! Recently i had a big trouble with my images after removing the ir filter in my Canon 1000D. A few test after I found the problem with the virtual Mirror use: AntiVibration pause – This is a parameter which is used within exposures plan or bulb exposures. It defines how many seconds to wait a...

Re: Tips with colour callibration with Canon modified

Thanks. I use with my refractor the UV/IR cut Baader filter to obtain focus. The images are in RAW format when I stack it in DSS and i can calibrate fine the colour in PixInsight LE (it gets a natural colour) but I cannot get the same result in Startools now.

Tips with colour callibration with Canon modified

Hi all. I recently had modified my Canon 1000D removing the IR filter. Now the images have more detail but I have problems with colour module because the reds are stronger in the image and I had change the parameters in the module to reduce red channel saturation but I don't got the desired results....

Re: recent narrow and wide field objects

Great pictures and a stunning proccesing. I have a question about processing of images on Startools with mono CDD and RGB filters or narrowband filters. I suppose you need all the channels (RGB) must be aligned when you open the files in Startools because there is no option in ST to align channels. ...

Hi. Why don't you save it from DSS to .fits format? Fts format works fine in Startools.

Ok, I think it was clear now for me, thanks Ivo.

Re: M6, and question about star's core

I used DSS: 10 lights 600" + 1 light 300", 10 flats, 30 offsets, 20 darks
Auto adaptative weighted average
No backgroud callibration

I will restack again and compare the autosave file with the result. Always use .fts format.

Thanks a lot.
