Re: 1.7.430 alpha with new Super Structure module (Life replacement)

I must say the Super Structure module and the GPU modifications in 1.7.436 are great. I was able to process an image quickly and without a crash! Excellent work.

Re: Horsehead Nebula

Results from dithering are great! I wished I did it sooner as now I can get away with not using darks as long as I have at least 20 subs and use DSS median or sigma stacking.

Re: M31, The Andromeda Galaxy

Also, I'd use Color->Style->Artistic Detail Aware to get rid of the turquoise color of the blue stars.

Re: M31

Nice. I'd boost the saturation of M31 somewhat.

Re: Another M31...

I'd use the option in Color to change green to yellow as there is a green cast to the image.

Re: Ghost nebula

Thanks for bringing that to my attention! One doesn’t see images processed by Startools too often on astrobin.

Re: Startools for Planetary processing

I decided to try and combine Registax and Startools. I used Registax for the wavelet sharpening then used Startools deconvolution and color functions. The image is sharper and more colorful-maybe too much. I should aim for something between these two images. Seeing was also much better than the prev...

Startools for Planetary processing

I've just started imaging Jupiter again as I just got a new ASI224 color camera. As an experiment, I decided to try using Startools to process vs using Registax6. I used Autostakkart! to stack the images and imported the resulting tif into Startools. I used deconvolution and then some sharpening as ...
