New computer specs??
Hi! About to pull the trigger on a new Velocity Microsystems workstation PC primarily for Astro image processing and regular photo processing. $7500 budget. Looking for comments on the primary specs for using with StarTools and other AP software like PI Threadripper 3 24-core processor 128 GB main m...

Loading OSC images from MultiBand Filters?:
I'm using an L-Extreme filter with a QHY 268MC OSC Camera. I'm stacking and calibrating in AstroPixelProcessor to get the master. How do you load it in the ST Compose manual? Or do I need to separate into Ha and O3 masters during the Integrationm process?

Re: Problem Wiping iTelescope Data
That’s great to know! I was re-combining and starting from scratch. Yes I do quite a bit of narrowband, so will explore that more. I also just got a new OSC camera that I will be using with a dual or Tri-Band filter and either extract the narrowband components for combine or just process as a color ...

Re: Problem Wiping iTelescope Data
Ok got a lot better results! First I used the Cosmetic Correction Cold Column feature in AstroPixelProcessor Agressive setting there removed a lot of those vertical defects. I also used master biases from iTelecope, and was actually surprised they made a difference even though I used matching darks....

Re: Problem Wiping iTelescope Data
Thanks, I’ll take another run at it! Looking forward to the Decon update. I will say I noticed a tremendous speed increase with the current version (AVX2)!

Re: Problem Wiping iTelescope Data
Wow Ivo that's amazing! WIsh you had stored your results on my server :-). I too have been disappointed with iTelescope data lately. I used matching dark masters so I didn't think I needed biases, but I can try that. One problem is the calibration files are 6 months old! Dr. Sasse said they are doin...

Problem Wiping iTelescope Data
I have about 3.5 hours of LRGB data of M101 from iTelescope T21. When doing a LRGB combine and AutoDev I get what looks like a good image in the center but milky white all around. It is not calibrated with Flats as the calibration files are very old (over 6 months) and including Flats made it worse....

Compose Module Quest ion on Binning
When entering the total exposure time in the Compose module, how do you account for different Bins? I shot Lum at 1x1 and RGB at 2x2, 120 seconds each. Do I weigh the 2x2 bins with twice the exposure time?
Thanks, Wayne
Thanks, Wayne

Re: M43, color struggle
Hi Bob! I’d be interested in more details - the camera and lens/telescope and the subframe image quantity and duration. Thanks! Wayne Ivo, I'm wondering if you can take a look at my M43? https://www.amazon.ca/clouddrive/share/opZ8RdwyYgLwfSGDkGaAjkUlJsnArQWEX3PHJxvz8t3 I've tried this with 1.6.386 a...

Re: Processing OSC data taken through a multiband filter?
Ivo, for all OSC images should I set the Green exposure to double?
