Re: NGC 2403 LRGBHa

Awesome, and welcome! I do need to use astrobin more myself. Under the action tap when you're viewing an imaging from your profile page you should be able to select "send to group" and from there it will ask which of the groups you're in you'd like to send it to. There might be a way to auto that pr...

Re: Rosette Nebula HOO

I do have data on M42 that I could potentially try this with. Thanks for clarifying Martin.

Re: NGC 2403 LRGBHa

Yes! under explore you can click on groups and search for it and you should be able to just join. I do feel like we should have them merge the two software types for startools in the detail section. I think in the meantime I'll put down both. Now I have so many more Startools astro photos to look th...

Re: Rosette Nebula HOO

@Startrek
Ah, ok!
I think I either missed that entire section explaining it or I just wasn't paying attention.
Just curious, does tame in HDR just not do what you want it to/ or not enough of what you're looking for?

Re: Rosette Nebula HOO

Hi Justin, Nicely done with the Rosette, looks great! Welcome to the Duo-band Bi-Color group! It so happens I posted a similar thread last week with my Heart Nebula and have been going back-and-forth with Mike in Rancho on processing tips; very much a matter of taste on how far you push Ha and OIII...

Re: Rosette Nebula HOO

Thanks Dietmar! It was only the third time using the duoband filter so I'm sure there's plenty more for me to learn with it. I'm going to give your workflow a spin and see how that works out for me so I do appreciate you sharing that. :D Plus its something I can keep in mind because I recently got a...

Re: NGC 2403 LRGBHa

Oh one extra thing I wanted to add - I'm still getting my feet wet with this astrobin trial, but in the details/software section I noticed that ST is split into two slightly different options. One starts out with "Startools..." and the other "Silicon Fields Startools..." Beyond being uncertain whic...

Rosette Nebula HOO

Dual band filter on OSC I've only recently dabbled into dual band so my knowledge is insanely limited. Thought I might share one of my latest attempts. First image is processed normally in Startools using compose mode and dropping stacked file into red/green/blue. Under color module I chose the firs...

Re: Orion Nebula

That is really nice, deep, and dusty! :bow-yellow: 5 full sets of differing exposures? Curious how you layered/blended them together. And did you find it deeper or a better global result for you compared to say, just the 300s or 180s sets alone and applying the HDR module? Thanks Mike! I ac...

Re: Orion Nebula

Thank you! It did take a few tries to get it right but I enjoy the learning process
