Here is the Google drive link. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1PFpyG9Y9_XHpQ9H7MhmRS1F-HfYH76oz Thanks for any help you can provide. I've only been doing this since March, but I've gotten better, but I'm just struggling on this one for some reason and it really bugs me lol. Still hopeful we ...

Re: Star Removal
I guess I'm confused at when I should be extracting the stars. I feel like if I have to wait until the end it makes the ionized gas look all grainy. I feel like the gas is sharper and more detailed in my second photo, but the final product with no stars actually looks worse then my first one haha. I...

Re: Star Removal
Hey almcl, My initial run through I think I over saturated it a bit and I also had it a bit softer than I would like. My latest run through is a bit sharper but, it still looks noisy from trying to push back the stars in the shrink and super structure module. I was hoping since narrow band really ha...

Star Removal
Hi, So I have a question regarding star Removal. I know that this is done in the heal module after de noise typically. My question is it possible to remove the stars before processing is done? I currently have a Altair quadband filter for OSC camera. I typically image from a bortle 6 and I got the f...

Re: Comet Processing
Hey Mike, I did try the DSS feature it turned out to be a Frankenstein mess lol unless I did something wrong. The one I stacked based on the comet turned out how I expected it to. With star trails and it does look neat at least the unedited version. It's in the link I shared if you are interested in...

Re: Comet Processing
Hey Ivo, I actually was thinking about this after I posted it. What I was trying to do is not a true scientific representation of the comet and that might be the response I got. So my follow up would be so you have any tips for processing the comet with star trails? I've only imaged DSO nothing this...

Comet Processing
Hi All, Its been a while since I've been back here. I'm doing something a little different then what I have been doing. I'm trying to do a comet that I managed to get some data on. I'm going for a an image with no star trails or where distorted comet. I have two different stacks of photos one with t...

Re: M42 Processing help
Hi almcl, Yes those are very good tips that I will try! I have come to the conclusion I don't have enough exposure to get the same amount of detail in the full resolution as the binned version. I shot this from close to a bottle 6 with about 70-75% moon with only 30 minutes of exposure. If I sacrifi...

Re: M42 Processing help
Hey Mike Thanks for the input it's much appreciated I should of thought to try binning. I do have a general question regarding the noise not sure if you have an answer or not if you don't that's fine. So I'm guessing the excess noise is from light pollution since I'm shooting from town. If I drop th...

Re: M42 Processing help
As I try to work through this. Did either of you by chance use the binning module? I'm just trying to figure out why I end up with so much noise when I autodev the second time to get the same amount of details that you two are getting.
