Re: Matching postprocessing of a smart telescope
Thank you Dietmar for your time and consideration. > get in touch with other people using this smart scope to get some help on how to get started. I appreciate your offer, but I'm ok. The post-processing in the smart telescope is surprisingly good. Which is why I picked this difficult object. > ther...

Re: Matching postprocessing of a smart telescope
I want to do this exercise to better learn to use this powerful image processing software. I still hope to get around to using my "high effort telescope" that does require postprocessing of images

Re: Matching postprocessing of a smart telescope
I'm sure the issue is the skill issue on my side.
If you take a look and share your technique, I'll be happy to learn from your findings

Matching postprocessing of a smart telescope
I've gotten myself a Vespera Pro and used the Veil Nebula as my test subject. The result it produces is very neat. I was curious how well I can process those raw frames myself. The telescope conveniently outputs a FITS file for each frame. Apparently, I can't produce anything remotely as good as wha...

./StarTools-Linux64-GPU doesn't work, but ./StarTools-Linux64 works
When I try to start ./StarTools-Linux64-GPU, I see the window border for a nanosecond and then it disappears. No messages in the terminal. No messages in StarTools.log. ./StarTools-Linux64 starts just fine. 1.8.527MR2 Arch linux, Nvidia 4060 Ti, 128GB RAM, plenty of disk space, plenty of CPU. How ca...

Re: Batch processing
Found this the STReplay tool https://forum.startools.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1368&start=50, it even works on Linux. This is an awesome piece of technology. However, I can't stop wondering that this technology shouldn't be needed. Inter-application communication should have a better interface than em...

Batch processing
I expect this to be a frequently asked question, but I couldn't find any information. I have 50 shots that I want to process. I processed one of them (bin, crop, dev, noise). How can I repeat this process for the other 49 shots? These are separate shots and not a single stacked shot, because I was i...
