Re: Saving images to print
Yes, it does depend on the printing process, but around 300 dpi is a good target and should give you good results in most processes. My inkjet printer has a native resolution of 360 dpi if I recall correctly - so I target that for images that I want to be as good as they can be. You could probably g...

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Brilliant! Yep, a bit convoluted but that's the go. My early experience is that ST1.7beta on my MBP13" 2020 is WAY faster than my Windows 10 desktop (i5-3570K). A stupid comparison really, as the desktop is yonks old, but hey, why not? ST has a bit of a learning curve, but the power is in the subtle...

Re: Saving images to print
G'day Aaron Shame the print shop guy didn't give you a bit more information. Every digital image has a pixel dimension i.e. 1920 x 1080, 320 x 240 etc... The 'resolution' bit comes in when that is translated to a physical dimension - i.e. inches. So - for example, if you had an image with a pixel si...

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
G'day
Are you following the guidance for macOS on the Downloads page? Specifically the need to 'unquarantine' the .app file.
What is the issue that you've experienced?
I'd recommend the beta version - it contains a lot of enhancements over the stable 1.6 version.

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Cheers Ivo
I can confirm that 1.7.445 beta opens normally now under macOS 11.0.1
Awesome work - I'll now give it a run and post any other issues that come up.
Brilliant!

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Thank you Ivo!
Such a great response - you're really on it!.
Yes, the original (earlier version) opened to an unresponsive white screen.
Worked quite well under Catalina tho.
Very much enjoying the software too, btw. I'm only just scratching the surface, but getting some great results.

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
Opens to a white window and then immediately closes down.
I've set the -dr attributes using xattr per the guidance.
Let me know if there is anything I can do to assist diagnostically.

Re: macOS 11 / Big Sur compatibility
No, unfortunately no-go on my 2020 MBP.
I would like to use ST on this device, as it is otherwise a very capable image processing machine.
Keen to test.
