Thanks Ivo, I think I will give them a try. I've been searching around astrobin and found really impressive images. Makes sense what you say. I don't notice that effect in the sample images I've found, but of course could be a result of a good processing. So I think I will try.
Thanks for your help.

Re: LRGB filters recommendation
hi Ivo. What kind of impact do you think I would experience? Would color balancing be more difficult? Or maybe color would not look natural?

Experience with astronomik deep sky filters?
Hi there!
I'm just wondering if anybody has experience with the LRGB Astronomik Deep sky filters (not type 2c!), specially with the L3 luminance and using Startools
Anybody here? Any feedback is really appreciated.
Regards

Re: LRGB filters recommendation
Hi all again! If anybody else has some recommendation, I'm all ears :D I've just purchased the mono camera, and now I'm trying to decide which filters to buy. My f7 refractor shows a noticeable color aberration. I wonder if astronomik deep sky filters + L3 will improve it. Or maybe a could live with...

Re: Aberration with autodev
Hi Ivo, Thanks again for your kind reply and help. Let me answer step by step. It indeed appears the blue (and also a little red) channels are out of focus, relative to the green chanel; a case of classic chromatic aberration. This is very interesting. How can I notice the aberration I have in a par...

Re: Aberration with autodev
Ivo, I've been playing around with the compose module, trying to understand what's going on with my data. I'm not sure where is technically the problem. Not sure which is the channel with the most aberration. More than finding a solution, I would like to interpret my data and tools that startools pr...

Re: Aberration with autodev
Hi Ivo, Thanks for your reply and clarification. I think my problem is the misconception I have about some topics. Let's say that this: Selection_150.png translates into: Selection_151.png and a manual dev into: Selection_153.png CA is much less pronounced ... BUT ... Are you saying you blow out the...

Aberration with autodev
Hi all, I've always used manual dev cause with autodev I got so much color aberration: Selection_148.png the halo above translates into an awful color aberration (it maximizes the CA of my doublet). However, with manual dev I get a much more clean star: Selection_149.png I tried to tune and play wit...

Re: LRGB filters recommendation
Hi Ivo, Thanks for the reply. Yes, I think the gap you mean is to exclude partially light pollution. Some LRGB filters have this gap, including the Astronomik LRGB deep sky. However, I did never hear about any problem regarding this. ZWO filters have a lower blue cutoff, and I think that may impact ...

Re: LRGB filters recommendation
Hi Ivo, Sorry for the late reply. I don't know why but I stopped to receive notifications on updates. I've just reviewed my profile config and hope to get the notifs again. One of the best option I think can fit my setup are the astronomik deep sky RGB filter set, with the L3 luminance filter: https...
