Histogram in Photo film development
Question, Should I be using the histogram when I stretch my image in this step? If I use " Home in" many times the histogram is so wide I am thinking that can't be the best. How do you get the best without regretting it later in the process.?
Thanks, David

Re: stacked image from dslr Monochrome modded camera
Mike, I followed your instructions and used all my calibrations files as well. Restacked the FTS .cal files and ran it through ST. I did use the compose mono from dslr/osc. Not sure if that was the best choice. I also decided not to bin as this is only an 8MPixel camera. Normally with My Sony A6000 ...

Re: stacked image from dslr Monochrome modded camera
Here is my first attempt using my Canon350D minus it's bayer matrix. I wish I had a good workflow . I did use compose with mono selected. This was 30second exposures at iso 200. Underexposed because I did clip the blacks a lot. About 15 minutes total exposure time. No filters at all.

stacked image from dslr Monochrome modded camera
Hi, I must be bored but I acquired a few Canon 350D cameras and took the least used unit and removed the bayer Matrix from the sensor. I took a few JPGs out the front door and the image was magenta until I did a custom white balance and then viola a very crisp monochrome image. Since I will be takin...

compose module
Hi, First of all I want to say that I love this software and promote it whenever I can. I have in the past used the Compose module for my L extreme Duo band filtered images and light pollution filtered images in open "module" . My question is can I use a stacked set of Duo band images into Compose m...

What identity do I choose
Hi, First of all I am not at the level most astrophoto people seem to be at but when shooting with a filter like L extreme and L enhance I use the compose module and select the last Bicolor choice. In color module I use the HOO identity. If I use the L pro filter which is a fairly mellow light pollu...

Hi, Can I take a stacked dslr /triband filter fts file and just import for Ha band only ? Trying to minimize moon glow tonight. Not sure if this is possible and what option I would use. I am rather new at this. Thank you
Andromeda
Here is a Andromeda image taken 8 Aug21. Stacked with DSS and developed with ST 8 trial version. Colors are probably off but not sure what is best way to use ST on a unfiltered color image from a Sony mirrorless camera that has been modded.
