M106 in RGB
Long time since i posted a picture here. This is done almost completely in Startools. I just used BlurX in a lineair stage to correct the stars and some deconv. The stack had terrible gradients, which i still do not know where those come from...I had alot of trouble even stacking it, many subs were ...

Re: NGC 891 - the Outer Limits Galaxy
A real nice image Ron. Indeed the many tiny galaxies are a beauty and sometimes it is amazing how many one can catch in an image...

Re: Cygnus loop from Austria
Thanks Stefan, No i did not fiddle much around in PI for this one since this is a Startools forum not the Pi forum. :D Starnet has his issues but in my PI version on astrobin i used it when the image was still linear, somehow that worked alot better. However the star 52 Cyg still did pose a problem ...

Re: Cygnus loop from Austria
Thanks Ron, Yes, little tech problems but i could overcome then. And also, with small gear especially a scope with limited focal lenght is so forgiving and much easier to deal with. The guiding once running was quite ok though. The picutre seen on astrobin is fully made in PI, i think it is better ....

Cygnus loop from Austria
A veil complex version in Startools. Ok i admit i used starnet to separate the stars from the nebulae and then for the stars reduces the stretch and combined the images in PI. All the rest is made in Startools. I just could not handle the over busy starfield in Startools enough.... It was shot in Au...

Re: The Wizard and a couple of stars
Well, it is still a nice image despite all the stars. Maybe there are still too many but they sure do show marvelous colors!

Re: NGC 6979 - Pickering’s Triangle
Totally agree with Stefan, it is a real winner! Just beautifull. Stars in that area are a real issue. On my Austrian veil i did not use any stars reduction, in stead i used starnet at a linear stage and stretched the separate images different, and afterwards combined them again. In that case it work...

Re: West Veil duoband+OSC stars
Quite a colorfull shot. Very nice and much detail in it.
Trouble with the L-enhance, extreme and ultima, the dualband filters is indeed starcolor. One should shoot a separate RGB for the starcolor. My Austrian shot has thesame problem.

The cocoon.... Well, this object is tougher then i thought and so i probably the scope. Over 8 hours of integration in not so dark skies since it is summer. This is ST only no PI, only a few tweaks in GIMP. I noticed after processing that i had some dew issues probably on the glass of the camera. Si...
