Thanks all, I figured this one too - just run the files through DSS and it's sorted.
I'd love to show you results here but I can't attach a video, so here's a link instead: https://photos.app.goo.gl/n5CSn6hgMfcpB6pM9

How open OSC FITS file in colour?
Hi, Subject says it all really! I want to process lots of individual FITS files I took of Comet C/2017 K2 (PANSTARRS) last night, but when I bring them into StarTools, they're treated as mono linear files. How can I bring them in as colour? (I want to process them separately so that I can then creat...

Re: ASI533MC - Siril stacks have colour, DSS and APP do not
Thanks Jochen. Turns out I'd actually switched off the tool tips! So, switching them back on, tells me that I do need to activate the 'Force' tick box. It's the exact equivalent of the DSS check box mentioned above. So, I'm all good to go. Thanks again.

Re: ASI533MC - Siril stacks have colour, DSS and APP do not
Thanks all for your help. I've had quite a tough time recently, trying to get the hang of mono and admitting defeat, then retreating to what I thought was an 'easy' option, OSC. I mean, you just point and click, and you get colour, right? Wrong! Anyway, hixx , it turns out that with APP I had to cli...

ASI533MC - Siril stacks have colour, DSS and APP do not
Hi all, So, I recently took a step back from mono to OSC - a nice little ASI533MC Pro. I've just used it for the first time tonight, and after doing a test stack in APP, when I bring the FITS file into StarTools, it's only giving me the option for a Linear or Non-Linear image - that is, no OSC optio...

Re: Read integration times from FITS file headers for Compose module
No problem! Glad it was useful. I'm trialling PixInsight too and if I ever actually manage to get anything out of it, I'll take a look and see whether it also holds this info in the header.

Re: Read integration times from FITS file headers for Compose module
Siril uses LIVETIME for total integration, and EXPTIME for the duration of the subs.
Affinity doesn't export FITS file formats, even though it accepts them for stacking!

Mask in NB Accent?
This isn't a feature request as such, just a query. I understand that the first part of NB Accent is akin to AutoDev, in that it analyses the entire image. However, for some objects such as galaxies, in a small portion of the image, there really is no need to include, say, Ha across much of it. For ...

Re: Not getting the results I'd like with LHaRGB
Great, thanks again Mike. I've only ever used a Newt, and so a lot of this is familiar to me. It's just been these darned gradients that bothered me, and the flats, as per Ivo's suggestion, are at least part of that. I'm also looking into the possibility of a light leak in the focuser tube, but that...
