Thanks, Mike, for your encouraging message.
I never got any successful results in ST, and was about to give up, until I further inssited on the Autodev functionality.
I think I unlocked a mental bias in my brain!

IC 342 "Hidden" galaxy
My first image post here... And my first image almost successfully processed with Startools. I've been struggling for months, until I just played with the paramters of the Autodev module. Lessons learned: If this very first step is wrong, then now way to get anything acceptable going forward. Not ha...

Can't seem to find the latest beta download link
Hi
It may be a side effect of the new year celebration my eyes can't find the link to the latest beta version.
Is it available anywhere?
Thanks
And clear 2022 skies to all.
Rodolphe

Re: Autodev: star halos I can't seem to handle properly
Dear Ivo, I'm impressed by the level of depth of your reply, I wasn't expecting that much! Many thanks for taking the time to look into my question and data. I provided the screenshots to illustrate what I see, they were taken in the Autodev module just after loading the files in the Compose module,...

Re: Autodev: star halos I can't seem to handle properly
Here we go, M31 captured with an ASI 2600 MM Pro, Takahashi FSQ85EDX with field flattener (first light with this camera). Pre processing of L, Ha, R, G, B channels in AstroPixelProcessor. Gain=0 to benefit from the entire dynamic range. Loaded the Autodev module with the corresponding channels, used...

Autodev: star halos I can't seem to handle properly
Maybe this is me improperly using the Autodev module. In my experience/conclusions, once the image leaves the Autodev module to the next processing steps, there's little that can be done to manage the dynamic range. When stretching the image, I have to leave a small halo around mis-size stars, other...

Re: crash in MacOs Monterrey
Let me add this is happened only once out of the several times I used the module.
Maybe not worth spending time investigating further.
I badly need a "recover files" or "recover state" feature! significant time lost when it happens...
Anyway, love the program.

Re: crash in MacOs Monterrey
Just experienced a crash as well - ST version 1.7.461, Monterey.
Module Super Star - clicked on the Before button - crashed.
Anything I could help with for log collection?
Thanks
Rodolphe
