Re: Linux 64 GPU 1,8
Ok, I had a feeling you might say that. I've been gradually weaning myself off windows and preparing to make the upgrade to my Kubuntu partition. I'd just as soon completely drop windows on the laptop, if possible. Even so, I could still run the Windows version on my desktop (it too is partitioned),...

Re: Linux 64 GPU 1,8
No, the 64 bit versions refuse to even start as noted above. The 32 bit version (on one test image of the Pelican Nebula) produced horrid results... nothing like the windows version. I've always used the 64bit version on Windows. And I have verified that my Kubuntu package is running the 64 bit vers...

Re: Linux 64 GPU 1,8
OOPS - I just started up the 32 bit version and I noticed that it says Startools 1.7.456.

Linux 64 GPU 1,8
Hi - Just download the latest version. I am switching from Windows to Linux as the Windows partition on my laptop is getting very difficult to start up. I downloaded the OpenCL package and ocl-icd packages as well. The 32 bit version appears to run. But the 64bit ones do not. From the command line I...

Re: All white
OMG! WOW! Here's a link to the binned image: http://mcleanresearch.com/M52.tiff  So the answer is: set Nebolisty's Color file format in preferences to RGB Fits: Maxim. So now I see I have some hot color pixels - Guess I need to retake my darks, etc. All I can say, is thank you so much for ...

Re: All white
I redid the file and once again - all white. So I thought I'd try M-52 which shows yellow, red, and some blues in a processed Nebulosity image. I binned it down to save transmission size and processed it with ST. Again - nothing but white. I followed the above guide. What am I doing wrong? This imag...

Re: All white
Ah Ha! OK, so I *do* need to demosaic all images before stacking. Will do and post results.

Re: All white
http://mcleanresearch.com/final_49_stacked.fit is the file location. You may have to right click and download it - it'll probably come up as a text file, but it is a .fit file. This is *only* stacked in Nebulosity - 49 subs - and then I binned it down to make it smaller - it's 2M as it is. I did NO ...

Re: All white
Thanks for the Info. I was up all last night taking new photos. Again the processing shows nothing but white. I will use your suggestion concerning delaying using the color module. If that fails, I'll post the image on my website and you can have a look-see. I'll bin it down as the file is huge. I'm...

All white
Hi all - I'm a newbie to Star Tools and have been reprocessing some of my pictures. I bought ST because I was able to pull M-51 out of the photos so much better than Nebulosity could. But In It and almost all others I've reconstructed (using the original .fit files and stacking only) I am seeing onl...
