Re: Bayer drizzle
Thanks for pointing out, Ron. I'm also sure that money will be better invested in new hardware.
Instead of buying PI and supporting their monopoly (just kidding?) you could consider to make a donation to the Siril team or to buy a T-Shirt from their shop

Re: Assistance requested - eclipse image
Hi, I think there's a problem with the FITS file. It seems to be monochrome, but there is a Bayer matrix pattern clearly visible. It needs to be debayered, but that's not so easy as it is opened and treated as monochrome. I tried to convert it with FITSWork "CCD to RGB" and to split into 3 b/w image...

Re: Donut stars
hist.csv is sort of irrelevant for now. Please have a look at stretch.csv and then we can go forward.

I'm pretty sure that despite thinking I downloaded version 2, I am still ending up with version 1 I'm sure I'm messing up the explanations, sorry. So step by step, we will get that right. File size should be 6.656 bytes, date 2024-03-30 20:41 After running there should be two CSV files: - hi...

Re: Donut stars
Hi Mike Mike in Rancho ! Back again ;-) Yes, the DLL is used to read the TIFF files. https://bitmiracle.com/libtiff/ There are a lot of examples how to use. It’s a .NET port of the famous libtiff library. TIFF sounds simple, but in fact it’s a complex format with lots of incarnations. It is possible...

And my ST while I was at it. :D  I just checked my ST licence and it already expired one month ago. But latest beta works without hint and saving is possible as well ... @Ivo - maybe your licence check does not work any more? Just renewed as well - it's really only a symbo...

Re: Donut stars
As I wrote, when applying a global stretch, each brightness mapping should be unique. But it isn't. But, problem with the app, or problem with our understanding what is going on? Or both Maybe a bit of both. ;) But it isn't too worse. Thinking a bit deeper, it is quite clear, that saving as 16-bit ...

Re: Donut stars
Hi Mike Mike in Rancho please use with caution - I found a problem. As I wrote, when applying a global stretch, each brightness mapping should be unique. But it isn't. I just implemented a check. I should have done earlier. :( The differences are quite large, for example: 13412 - 12870 13412 ...
