Re: M63 - interrupted by - Aurora Borealis
Nice shot, Dietmar! Quite some detail. Personally i find the purple cast not that overwhelming but apperently this galaxy tends to look a bit purplish on pictures. I commented on a dutch forum about a picture that had definately a purple cast, but otherwise also great detail. But indeed, polar light...
Re: NGC 3718
Hi Stefan, Quite a nice result. Beautifull color in the stars , great spikes and quite some detail in the galaxies at f=750 mm. I would be pleased if i got that result. Nights are indeed getting short. I am testing my RC8 and before 23:00 hr there is not much one can do unfortunately. And i will sti...
Re: m65
That is very nice!
Which scope did you use. Can you share some specs and data about the picture taken?

Very nice, very nice!
Nice coloring. First picture indeed shows a bit to saturated stars but the second is really nice
These are the targets i wan't to frame with the RC in the future..

Re: M94 an in-progress fool's errand (and an experiment)
Looks not bad, not bad at all, Ron As for LCG and HCG modes, for the moment , no idea to use which mode for what... Can't see to remember what the differences are, really...but i realize the Toupteks seem to have quite some possibilities on how you use them... For the moment the weather is the bigge...

Very beautiful image, imho. You dither after every sub..seems alot. Somebody told me 12 dithers should be enough to rule walking noise out. I start my sessions mostly with dithering after every sub but after 12 i change it too every 3 subs to save a little bit of time.

M67 in Cancer
No complicated time consuming emission nebulae this time but a fairly simple shoot of the M67 cluster. It contains about 500 stars and about 100 of them are like our sun. It is nicknamed the Cobra cluster or the Golden Eye cluster. For me it is a nice target which i always loved, also in the time i ...

Re: M42, with issues...
So it becomes even more strange. Now you see me, now you don't kind of thing..; It looks sometimes halo artifacts are introduced. The thing is i never experienced it with an 1.0 flattener either. So anyhow i must be someting with the 0.8 reducer on some occasions, the question remains , what occasio...
